  To die, is landing on a friendly shore,
  Where billows never shake, nor tempests roar;
  E'er well we feel the friendly stroke, 'tis o'er!
  'Tis what the guilty fear, the pious crave,
  Shunn'd by the coward, courted by the brave;
  It eases lovers, sets the wretched free;
  And, though a tyrant, offers liberty.
